  • The Media Team creates eye-catching graphics on Canva, putting together our term cards, and summarising what’s coming up for climate in Oxford in our newsletter each week. We also synthesise new content, such as informational series, blog posts, interviews or podcasts (!) as well as our YouTube, replying to DMs and emails etc. There's lots of collaboration with all of the different teams in the society for Media, which makes it a very sociable role in the society, and you'll end up getting to know everyone in it well.

Being in the Media Team means the whole brand of OCS is at your fingertips, to be updated and kept fresh and interesting to students and the public!

Members can have many different roles, depending on what and how much they would like to be doing: From blog writing, Instagram content, weekly news report researching, YouTube content creation, coms etc.

  • The Education Team runs our award-winning School of Climate Change, which takes place twice a year.

We plan the curriculum, liaise with speakers, handle logistics, manage recording tech, and run our own media campaigns.

As education team members, we get to meet amazing speakers and develop invaluable organisational and event planning skills.

  • The Events Director organises our weekly events and makes sure our term card features a variety of exciting sessions.

Team members brainstorm topics, organise venues, and liaise with speakers. It is a rewarding role that shape climate discussions in Oxford.

  • We manage relationships with our sponsors and partners, and are always on the look out for more opportunities to collaborate.

  • The Social Team is responsible for creating a thriving community of climate-passionate people in Oxford. They organise social events for the OCS team and the general public. Look out for pub trips, picnics, nature walks and more.
